The quickest way to feeling bad about yourself is by comparing yourself to others. You break down your self-esteem and will always feel like second best.
Comparing yourself to others usually happens subconsciously, most of the time you don’t even realize that you are doing it. However, you always ended feeling bad because the comparison is usually very unfair! Most likely you are comparing yourself to someone who already has what you want, be it a thriving career, a publishing deal or financial independence.

To retrain your brain out of this habit there are 3 easy steps you can take:
*Become more self-aware and flag yourself each time you realize you are busy playing the comparison game.
*Be realistic and objectively look to see if you are comparing like with like.
*Interrupt your brain pattern by purposefully thinking of an example in your life when you were successful at something.
When you have a habit of comparing yourself to others makes you resentful and envious of other people. It limits your possibility to create for yourself and it can cause you to give up before you even start.
