In today’s video, I want to talk to you about why I’ve stopped raising my positive vibration, and I fully acknowledge that my experience might be completely different to yours. And so that’s why I am just with this video sharing my view and what I am doing instead. My name is Tertia and on this channel, I talk about self-worth and self-love, feminine energy and femininity, manifesting, mindset, and all of the things that you can do to access and stand in your personal power. So I’ve made many videos about raising your positive vibration on this channel, and I’m not going to take them off. They’re still going to stay there because many of you might be on a different path or in a different aspect of your journey. But I really wanted to talk to my experience with why I’m no longer going for raise your positive vibes. So the reason I’m not doing it is because I believe that there is an inherent danger in doing this. So if I just take you back a couple of years to when I first started learning about the power that we have of creating our own reality through our thoughts and through our mind, I was in my early 20s, and for some reason, I interpreted this as very literal, as in positive thoughts create positive experiences and attract positive things into your life. So my interpretation was, you can’t really have negative thoughts because negative thinking brings bad things your way. So you have to do everything that you can to make sure that you stay positive and that you only think positive things and don’t allow any negative feelings or any negative thoughts in. So you can see where this is going. The solution that I had was to take all of the negative things and turn them around and make them positive. The problem was though, whenever I said affirmations, and don’t get me wrong, affirmations have a place. You can still use affirmations very effectively. But the way that I used to use affirmations back then is whenever I said them, and I expressed this affirmation, in the back of my mind, I could still hear the thing that I was actually believing and the thing that I tried to avoid thinking about. And also whenever bad things happen to me, bad things, I would always blame myself. And I would always say, it’s probably because I wasn’t positive enough or I was thinking negative thoughts. So that’s why I’m saying that there’s an inherent danger in thinking that the only or the best way is to raise your positive vibration, because I know that I’m not the only one who has interpreted this concept in this way. Okay, so this is the problem. When we don’t allow ourselves to feel certain negative feelings, or when we don’t allow ourselves to have negative thoughts, when we go into a spiral of feeling down, which is a normal reaction, because we are human, so we are going to feel done at times. But when we are in this place of being down and we judge and we criticize ourselves for not being more positive and for not being more upbeat, what you end up doing is you end up suppressing and denying your feelings. And the thing with feelings and emotions and our life experience is you can think of it as a scale. So you’ve got, let’s call it, extreme darkness and heartache on the one end and extreme joy and bliss on the other end. Now, because we don’t want to feel what is on this side, on the darker side, we suppress that and we shut down our feelings. So our feelings, our ability to feel, the scale and the bandwidth of our feeling this, becomes shorter. But what we don’t realize is that it also becomes shorter on the other side, because things are balanced, the scale is balanced. So as much as you, and I hope this makes sense, as much as you suppress and deny these feelings, as much of the joy and the bliss and the pleasure you prevent yourself from feeling. So you end up playing and having a bandwidth of only this much. So you only allow yourself to experience this much of sadness and this much of joy instead of this entire bandwidth that is available to you. So if we look then at vibration through a feminine lens, what does this look like? Now, I think collectively, we have this idea that higher is better, right? High vibrations, positive vibrations, we always want to ascend. And we also want to work with the upper chakras and the higher chakras, but from a feminine embodiment perspective, we say instead of going high, we want to go deeper instead. So what does this look like practically? Going deep means that you face those tender parts of yourself and you are vulnerable to them. Going deep means that you speak your truth, even if it is something that makes you really uncomfortable. Going deep means understanding where your boundaries are and being able to enforce them with compassion. And these are the things that’s going to change your vibration. By virtue of you going deeper, by virtue of you exploring those tender parts of yourself and releasing the shame and the tension that you unconsciously carry inside of you, you are changing your vibration. And this change in vibration is going to cause you to resonate with others, other people, and other experiences that is more harmony with where you are vibrationally right now. So my invitation to you is instead of going for the high positive vibration, what would it look like if you could go for the deeper, more heartfelt tender change in your vibration?
