When we invite the divine feminine into our lives, we also invite in self-compassion. We invite in an acceptance of our whole selves. This allows us to stand in full self-expression, where we can show up without any masks, as who we really and truly are. And in this video, I wan to share with you three ways in which you can invite the divine feminine into your life, and it’s going to be really helpful if you want to access that sacred feminine energy. Now, one of the most difficult things must be to be radically honest with yourself. No one likes to be faced with those undesirable aspects of themselves. It’s easier and more comfortable to just suppress or push it away or distract ourselves so that we don’t have to feel or face that. And when we connect into our divine feminine energy, when we want to call the divine feminine into our lives does require of us to become radically honest.

So we are not honest with ourselves every time that we don’t uphold our boundaries. Every time that we wait for someone to rescue us, every time that we suppress and deny our feelings. And every time that we don’t ask for what we need. The reason that we are not honest with ourselves, the reason why we just push through and get to the other side is because it is a very helpful survival strategy. It allows us to get on with our lives, but there comes a point where this type of survival strategy doesn’t serve anymore. So inviting in the divine feminine then through our radical honesty, requires of us to, with courage, examine and explore and deepen into all of our feelings, all of our patterns, all of our limiting beliefs and not only the ones that we have generated within ourselves, but also the ones that have been put upon us by our society and by our culture and by our family lineage and really examining all of those.

And then with honesty asking: where am I giving away my power? And then giving yourself permission to begin to take your power back. This is what’s going to allow you to become more embodied. When you are living and leading from true, authentic power, it means that you are embodied, you are connected to your true essence. It also means that we stop playing into the paradigms that exist around us. So we stop playing into the belief that says productivity is tied to my self-worth. The more I can produce the higher my output, the more I hustle, the more value it gives to me as a person. We consciously bring feminine wisdom into the way that we do things. What it will require of you is to drop within and check-in with yourself. Instead of checking outside for guidance is to begin to check in with yourself and then with radical honesty ask: what is true for me? What is happening inside of me and what can I do to nurture, to nourish and to support myself.

And this becomes a daily devotional practice depending on your season of life and what’s going on with you and where you are right now, that will determine what these devotional practices look like. So it might be yoga or journaling. I personally do a feminine embodiment movement practice. And I actually did a practice before I did this video, just so that I can land more fully in my body. You can also consider things like creating rituals or prayer or invoking the Goddess as types of devotional practices. Another devotional practice, which ties in more with embodying the divine feminine is when you work with the divine feminine archetypes, which are a representation of this great divine feminine energy. So embodying the qualities and the attributes of that archetype not only allows that to then spill out into your life, but it also supports you to create that sustainable transformation within. So I’m curious to hear from you. What other ways do you practice? What else are you doing to invite the divine feminine into your life? As always, thank you so much for watching. I love you. I appreciate you. And I’ll see you in the next one. Bye.

Feminine Archetypes: Powerful Expressions Of The Divine Feminine

February 25, 2022 by Tertia Riegler

Embodying feminine archetypes and calling on these powerful expressions of divine feminine energy is helpful in all areas of your life. It can help you speak up for yourself, uphold your boundaries and connect with your deep inner wisdom.

In this video, I look at 6 Divine Feminine archetypes, including the wild woman and warrior archetypes.

If you prefer to read instead of watch, here is the transcript.

Transcript

In this video, we’re going to look at how to work with divine feminine archetypes. So we’re going to start off by looking at what archetypes are, understanding how they can apply to us and why on earth we want to work with them. And then I’m going to explore six divine feminine archetypes that you can work with. Now, of course, there are many more than only six archetypes, but these are the six that I work with most. And the invitation for you is as I go through the descriptions and the traits is for you to really feel into the truth of what it is that I’m saying and feel how that truth expresses itself in your body. My name is Tertia. And on this channel, we talk all about self-worth and self-love, feminine energy, femininity, pleasure, magnetism, and all the ways in which you can stand in your sovereign power. If that speaks to your soul, then I invite you to subscribe and join our community, and also make sure that you hit the little bell and this way you’ll get notified of all of my new videos. So what are archetypes and why do we want to work with them? So you can think of archetypes as universal symbols that have their own expressions and their own aspects. And when we speak of these archetypes, when we name these archetypes, you’ll notice that they bring images up in your mind. They bring words up in your mind and you’ll also notice that they bring intensity up into the body. So you might feel a moving towards or a repulsion when we speak of these different archetypes. Now, we live in a hyper-masculine world and in this hyper-masculine world, thinking and the mind has really been honored. And in the process, what has happened is we have become disconnected from these divine feminine archetype energies that exist. Also, thousands of years of patriarchal rule and oppression has really suppressed the divine feminine. Now, this suppression or oppression is what causes us to attach sometimes maybe negative connotations to some of these archetypal energies that I’m going to be sharing with you. And just what comes to mind is words like crone or witch can maybe create even feelings of repulsion or fear. And when we speak of the maiden, what comes to mind is how the maiden is honored in society today, in the media even, and we begin to attach value to our beauty and our youth with the idea that as we get older, as we get wrinkles, as we enter into our crone wisdom, we start losing value. So it really is just a very small example of how archetypes and the thoughts and the ideas that we have around archetypes expresses themself into the world. Now, when we work with these divine feminine archetypes, it really allows their expression to awaken within us. And we can make the aspects of ourselves that has been hidden and that is unconscious, we can make that conscious. We can bring that to the light. So it really is an exploration into retrieving all aspects of self and embodying all aspects of self. And you’ll find that there are certain instances in life, so in your career or at home, or in your intimate relationships where you can then really draw on the expressions and the aspects of these divine feminine archetypes to support you into building better relationships or achieving your goals or standing more empowered. So now I want to take us through the six divine feminine archetypes. And the first one that I want to share with you is the wild woman. So the wild woman stands for your deepest truth. And she is this wild and untamed aspect of ourselves. She is the one who is really connected to our deepest heart’s desire. She is the one who doesn’t get told how to do things and how to be, but she really comes from full self-expression. Now, when the wild woman is in shadow, this full self-expression can often show up as impulsiveness. It can show up as rage and anger. Some signs that your wild woman needs to be contacted is when we are really disconnected from the body, when we are struggling to access our own wisdom and our own truth. The second divine feminine archetype is that of the warrior. So the warrior stands for truth and this is not the truth necessarily for people out there, but it’s the truth for self. It is the justice for self. It is the assertiveness and the courage for self. So the warrior is when we can enforce and uphold our own boundaries. The warrior is when we can speak our truth again and we come from a place of solid confidence. Now, when the warrior is in shadow, it might express itself as aggression and forcefulness. The shadow warrior can also mean that we avoid intimacy and that we keep emotional distance. Okay. So in her highest expression, the warrior is that of assertiveness and freedom. Now, the third divine feminine archetype that I want to share with you is that of mother and the mother stands for unconditional love. So here we’re not talking about the mother as in your mother or my mother, but we’re really speaking about the mother as represented by Gaia or mother earth. And if you just think of what this mother embodies, its fertility and it’s nurturing and it’s taking care of, and you don’t have to be a mother to embody this mother energy. So anything that you create, anything that you bring into the world is an aspect of how this mother energy expresses herself. Anything that you care for and that you take care of is an expression of how she shows up in the world. Now, when the mother is in shadow, what could happen here, the way that it can show up in your life is when there’s a tendency to over-give. So an overextension, an over-giving, an over-nurturing at the cost of yourself, which then leads to resentment and leads to disappointment. The next divine feminine archetype is that of lover. The lover stands for pleasure. So here, again as I’ve mentioned in some of my other videos, I don’t speak of pleasure here as sexual pleasure, although it can be, but rather as a sensual pleasure. So if you imagine the lover as sensual and playful, and completely ravishing life and enjoying all of the essential aspects and pleasures that it has to offer, the lover is receptive and she’s magnetic. She’s confident and she’s passionate. Now, the shadow side of the lover is manipulation. It’s seeking external validation and self-absorption, and it may also be where we rely on our sexuality and we rely on our looks. And the moment that is no longer there as we begin to age, we then drop our level and our sense of self-worth. The wise woman is our next divine feminine archetype. And the wise woman stands for wisdom. So this is not only the wisdom of our own lived experience, but it’s also the wisdom of our ancestors. And the wise woman has the ability to connect into this intuitive wisdom, to connect into the wisdom and metabolize that wisdom, and then express that into the world. So the wise woman trusts her inner knowing. She’s also deeply connected into the divine. And when the shadow of the wise woman shows up, it could be that we lose the ability to connect outwards because the focus is turned so inwards. We become introverted and we really lose connection with the more mundane things in life because of this deep connection that we have inwards. And then our last or final divine feminine archetype that I’m going to talk about in this video is that of queen and the queen stands for sovereignty. So when I feel into the queen, to me it means leadership in our own lives. It means sovereignty in our own lives. It means being the authority in our own lives. And you’ll notice as I speak of these divine feminine archetypes, there are aspects that you can thread through and that you can pull through from all of them. So I don’t believe that any one of these stands in isolation and some of the expressions are stronger and those are the expressions that we want to tap in into certain areas of our lives. So for example, when we’re working with inner child, then accessing the mother archetype is going to be helpful. When we need to do something at work that has to do with our careers or with our salaries or getting promoted, then we want to tap into the warrior aspect. When we’re working with beginning to slow down and really deepening into the wisdom of our bodies and connecting to our natural rhythms, we want to call on the energy of the wild woman. To me, the queen speaks her truth and she knows her own depths and she’s not afraid to travel there. So the queen really has faced all of her shadows and she’s allowed these shadows to be integrated. She embraces all aspects, her light and her dark, and she really shows up as a full-bodied and a fully alive woman. So these then are really the tip of the iceberg when it comes to these divine feminine archetypes. And I’m really curious to find out how this landed for you and which of these archetypes, which of these traits, or even the shadow parts resonated the most with you. Transcript

If you are like most of us, you probably have enough things on your to-do list already and the idea of putting something else on there can be quite overwhelming and actually that’s maybe one of the reasons why it’s so difficult for us or challenging for us to start new habits or to start bringing different practices that are good for us into our lives because our days are so full already but in this video today, I want to talk to you about five essential spiritual practices which I believe has the ability and the effect that it changes our inner experience and in turn makes us more resilient. It changes the way that we experience our lives and it has the effect of giving us that sense of inner peace and inner well-being. So, in this video we’re going to look at what are spiritual practices? What are the benefits of having a regular type of spiritual practice in your life? And then finally I’m going to share with you my five spiritual practices which I think will create the biggest shift in your life. When you start using them, if this is the first time that you are watching one of my videos, welcome to our community. My name is Tertia. I’m an EFT practitioner and a coach and I help you get unstuck and break through the things that hold you back.  So, that you can feel better and live better. Please introduce yourself. Say hello in the comments and subscribe so that you can get notified of my weekly videos. Let’s get straight into what is a spiritual practice now. To me, spirituality means being aware. Spirituality gives meaning and purpose to our lives and to me a spiritual practice then is any conscious activity or action that you undertake in an attempt to get closer to God and to foster that connection with God or Source or All -That-Is spiritual practices are things that we do every day. It is a way of life. It’s not an activity that you do first thing in the morning and then you forget about it for the rest of the day but it’s really about a way of being. It’s about a way of becoming where you take these things that you practice. You create habits out of this and these habits you take with you into your everyday life now. Spiritual practices can improve our lives because every time that we foster this connection, that we deepen this connection to God, we are in fact raising our own positive emotions because you generate a feeling of well-being and wellness and peace and content. When we, when we access our God energy, when we connect to Source and this is then the ultimate aim of a spiritual practice. Isn’t it? It’s to create that sense of, of wellness and that sense of peace. When we talk about our emotions, you’ll find that the emotions are laid on a scale and we have the lower vibrational emotions at the bottom and the more positive our emotions become such as joy and gratitude and bliss, the higher our vibrations become and I’ve created a video last week where I spoke about the five mindset shifts that we can implement to begin, to create a different vibration for ourselves and I’ll put that video up here and it will also be linked in the description below. Through our spiritual practice, we then foster these positive emotions which contributes to our sense of well-being but not only that a spiritual practice has the effect of connecting us deeper to our higher self through our higher selves. Through that connection of the higher selves, we can begin to remember who we are, we can begin to remember that we are not small. Little human beings living a struggling life but that we are indeed our true nature is that of love of unconditional love. Now, what happens is the ego comes in and the ego tries to convince us that we are surrounded by lack, that we are surrounded by scarcity. The ego lives on fear. It teaches us that, that we need to judge and criticize and protect ourselves in order to survive and through these spiritual practices, the effect is that we begin to break down the hold that the ego mind has over us and in turn, we become to stand stronger in our own inner power and in our own divine connection to source energy. When we start to live like this as a way of life, as a way of being then whenever hardship faces us or whenever you know a challenge comes across our path or whenever we get into a struggle or a conflict situation with a person, it is a lot easier for us to come back to our center. If we have cultivated this connection with our higher self and with God through our spiritual practices.  So, the first practice that I have to share with you is that of meditation and this is such a crucial, crucial, crucial skill to develop and it really is a skill because the more you do it, the better you become at it. Now, the reason why meditation is such an important spiritual practice is because through meditation, you hear your intuition. You get access to all of the information that the universe wants to share with you. You get your insights. You get your answers and it only works through meditation because for the rest of the times in our lives, we’re usually too busy. Our thoughts are occupied with all kinds of different things, you know. You’ve got mind chatter going on you. You have so many things going on that there’s not enough quietness or silence is probably the better word, there’s not enough silence for any messages to come in the best way that I can explain to you. How to meditate is to simply close your eyes and go within. So, that means put your attention in your center and when you notice that you are thinking about your to-do list or you are thinking about when you need to pick up the kids from school or what you need to make for dinner or what you have to say in this presentation later today, then, simply bring your attention back into your center and then you’ll notice again that you start thinking about all of these things that you do and as soon as you realize that you are thinking about these things, then you simply and calmly bring your attention back to your center and it might be that. This is the only thing that you do for the entire time that you’re sitting down to meditate but that is how we build that skill of meditating.  So, that then is the first practice when you begin to develop this ability to go within. That is when you access your intuition, that is when you get messages, that is when you begin to receive symbols and information from the universe and from your guides from God about decisions that you need to make or paths that you need to choose. So, we get our answers by becoming quiet. The second spiritual practice is prayer. We have a whole team out there waiting to hear from us and the way that we communicate with him, the way that we speak to god, the way that we speak to our spirit guides, the way that we speak to our angels is through prayer. Now, you don’t need to dress in a certain way or have your body in a certain position or do certain things with your hand. You simply talk. You can speak out loud. You can speak silently in your head, you can just think the thoughts but prayer is how we talk about our wants and our desires and our fears and we lay this onto an energy and a power that is greater than ourselves. Through prayer, we begin to learn that we don’t have to carry all of our stresses and all of our burdens by ourselves and just this meditation is where we receive information. Prayer is how we give information.  Now, I can remember as a little girl, I always used to think that you had to pray in a certain way and it had to be very formal and my prayers usually started off with all of the things that I did wrong and that I was begging for forgiveness, for but prayer is not like that. The way that I understand pray today is that it is really an expression of my heart. It’s an expression of what’s going on for me and how I’m feeling and it’s really like you would talk to a loved one where you have a good conversation about the things that are laying on your heart and that are important to you. The third spiritual practice that I have for you is to do some energy clearing. I’ve spoken about this in some of my videos before as well and I will link some of them up here and you will find videos in the description box below as well now. Our energy field every day as we go around and about our business as we interact with other people, as we have our own thoughts and our belief systems and our processes filtering through our experiences, our energy body collects dirt. Let’s call it that and this dirt can kind of accumulate and it builds up and if we are not careful, these get stuck and they contribute to keeping our belief system strong and our belief system in place now. What this accumulation of energy that we build up also does is it brings our chakras out of balance? Now, your chakras are the energy centers in your body that not only relate to some of your physical organs but they also are responsible for your emotional and your physical well-being. So, they’re responsible for the exchange of energy. Energy coming in and energy going out. So, the way that I like to clear my chakras and my energy field is by simply imagining that I’m breathing in a white light into each of the energy centers. I breathe in and then like a little swoosh, I just give it a cleaning out and then I exhale all of the energy that is ready to be released and as I exhale, I visualize that it goes down into my grounding cord and into the earth. So, there really are very different techniques that you can use and experiment and play around with. You’ll also find a lot of guided meditations here on YouTube. So, just search for clearing the chakras. I’ve also created a guided meditation which I’ll link for you in the description below. All right, now moving on to the fourth spiritual practice. Fourth, now the fourth practice is to practice gratitude daily. Gratitude and I like to do my gratitude list. First thing in the morning and the reason for this is I believe that as soon as you wake up before you’ve had time to kind of process your day and your life and what you need to do if you just sit down and write down the five things that you are grateful for that immediately shifts you into an energy of abundance. It shifts your whole vibrational state because when you are thinking in terms of gratitude, when you are grateful for the things in your life and you, you, feel that abundance it’s very difficult thing to fall back into a scarcity mindset or a mindset of lack. So, get yourself a little journal and begin your mornings by writing down five things that you’re grateful for. It’s a much healthier and, and, more beneficial way than starting your day scrolling through social media. For example, all right. And now moving on to my last spiritual practice. The spiritual practice number five that’s going to help you raise your vibration and that is to create awareness to begin to develop awareness around your thoughts and really this is to begin, to discern. Am I speaking from ego or am I speaking from my higher self? Who is in charge? Who’s busy running the show right now? Now, the thing is when we are an ego mindset, you’ll notice that your, your, thoughts are all tinged with, with fear and scarcity and lack and judgment and criticism and when you are in this space of fear of anxiety of, of, feeling the need to control then it’s very difficult to start making decisions based on trust because all your actions are driven by fear in ego mind. We notice all of the things that are wrong with ourselves, wrong with our lives, wrong with the people in our lives in ego mind. We notice all of the things that we don’t have and every time that we notice, that we are an ego mind. We create that gap for the higher self to come through. We create that gap for ourselves. To, to, connect to our true nature, to connect to who we really are at our core, I always think of these practices as a way of becoming. It’s like a muscle, we develop. It’s a new skill set that we learn and some days you’ll find that it is very easy and you are in flow and everything is beautiful and then other days not so much but it is then on those days that you can forgive and have compassion and self-understanding and most of all be grateful to yourself for continuing to becoming a better version of who you are? I hope that you enjoyed this video and if you did please let me know by giving it a thumbs up. Also, if you haven’t yet subscribed, I’d love to have you as part of my community. So, please join us subscribe and click the bell so that you can get those notifications every week. Thank you very much for watching and I’ll see you in the next video, bye!
