Hey everyone and welcome back to another video. In today’s video, we are going to be talking about ways in which you can become a more radiant and magnetic woman. If this is the first time that you’re watching one of my videos then welcome. My name is Tertia, and I’m a feminine embodiment coach. And if you are a regular viewer, then welcome back. So I was having coffee the other day with a friend and we were talking about confidence, what it means to be confident, what it looks like to be confident and often what happens is we, we might tend to think that confidence is only reflected like outside, it’s reflected in the things that I do out there, but confidence comes from within. It’s an inherent feeling and energy that we carry within us. When we are locked into our own self worth, that’s when we can become radiant and magnetic in all areas of our lives.

So it doesn’t matter if you’re wanting to magnetize or have something physical, like a car or a house or a situation like a relationship or a new job, a career, or whether it’s a feeling that you want to magnetize such as feeling more abundant or feeling more resilient. Now, when I think about being radiant or being magnetic, the first thing that comes to mind for me is the ability to experience pleasure. So this is such a deep and sensitive topic. And as I always say in my videos, pleasure, the pleasure that I’m speaking of here is sensual pleasure. It can be sexual pleasure too, but it starts with sensual pleasure. And so often we don’t always get the skills, we don’t always get taught how to be fully in a pleasurable experience with our senses in the body. Now, internally you might experience some resistance to having pleasure, like you feel that you don’t deserve it, or you feel that there’s simply not time.

You’ve got other responsibilities to take care of. And something else that I also see with my clients is that they sometimes see pleasure as inconvenient. I can experience pleasure now, I can do something that that I enjoy, and that really fulfills all my senses, but then I’ve got to clean up afterwards. I’ve got to take time out of my day, which is going to make it more difficult for me to get to all of the things on my to- list or whatever the case may be. So pleasure becomes inconvenience. It becomes like a task that I need to tick off. And really the thing that we need to understand about experiencing pleasure is that that is our feminine birthright. Okay. If we really want to deepen into our feminine energy to access that feminine flow, then experiencing pleasure is one of the doorways into that.

So you can find pockets in your day that you can take a pleasure break. That’s something that I’ve started doing recently. And it’s really wonderful. So I learned it from Bonnie Bliss who’s a pleasure expert, and she’s one of my mentors. And that is like throughout your day, just pause for a moment and do something pleasurable for yourself. So it can either be feeling into your body, feeling into the muscles and just moving your body around a bit. It can be making yourself a cup of tea with intention. So bringing some mindfulness into that, but then allowing yourself to experience it through the senses. It could be just gently giving yourself a hand massage or a foot massage. So really looking for ways throughout the day to increase the pleasure that you are having. And what you’re gonna find is this will begin to build your pleasure capacity so that if you are experiencing these barriers and resistance, because it’s inconvenient or it takes up too much of your time, or you feel that you should first do all of the things that are required from you first finish all of your responsibilities before you can relax into experiencing something pleasurable or relax into doing something that you really enjoy.

When you begin to take these daily pleasure breaks, it’s going to increase your capacity and it’s gonna reduce those barriers. It’s gonna reduce the resistance. Okay. So that’s the first thing that comes to mind. When I think about being a radiant and a magnetic woman, is allowing yourself to experience that pleasure and to let that pleasure then flow out into all other areas of your life. The second thing that I think is gonna be so helpful for you, if you want to start building your radiance and magnetism is to learn that your triggers are gifts. Begin to view your triggers as doorways into deepening into the relationship with yourself. So for us to be truly radiant and magnetic, and to have that full life experience and step into our feminine flow, we have to be connected to our whole selves. We have to connect really into the depths of who we are.

And often we don’t like experiencing those undesirable sensations, those undesirable feelings, but those are actually the key to unlocking your radiance. It’s the key to unlocking your confidence so that you can show up in your most potent powerful, most feminine expression of yourself. So the third thing that I think is going to be so helpful is learning to uphold your boundaries. Now, boundaries here, I’m speaking both of emotional boundaries and our mental boundaries. We really struggle sometimes to uphold those boundaries again, because of the conditioning, because of our cultural situation. And also because of the way that we see ourselves. So your own self worth, your level of self love, your ability to be intimate with your own feelings and your own experiences is going to determine your ability to uphold boundaries. And often what happens with boundaries is if we are not able to uphold them we fluctuate between two ends.

So you either have your boundaries are leaky where you just give in and you overgive, and you sacrifice yourself at the cost of, or on the other hand, you’re very rigid in your boundaries and you stonewall and you don’t let anyone in, but then at the same time, as much as you don’t let anyone in, as much as you don’t allow any intimacy in, you also don’t allow any love and intimacy to go out. Now, one more thing that comes to my mind, if I imagine a radiant and magnetic woman, what comes to mind is that they feel very safe in their bodies. So there are so many things that cause us to not feel safe in our bodies, you know, through growing up again through our culture, through situations and events that might have happened to us. And in order for us to be able to attract into our lives, that what we want, whether it’s a relationship where a healthy relationship where there is good communication and where you feel truly fulfilled, or whether it’s a career path or any kind of life situation where you feel honored, where you’re respected, where you are able to like really show up as your true self and be loved.

You need to be able to feel safe in your own body first. And there are a few ways that you can begin to do this. Obviously, this is one of the things that I work a lot with with my clients, but really for you to begin to venture into feeling safe in the body, to landing into the body, I think what will be helpful for you are things like working on kindness and compassion towards yourself. So really beginning to reparent yourself, this is something that I spoke about in a video around self worth. So I’m going to link that video for you down in the description below. You can go take a look at that.

And something else that I want to add to this is also in order for us to really fully embrace who we are so that we can be confident and radiant, one of the things that we start with is by allowing and accepting all of us. Okay? So this is where some shadow work is going to be really helpful for you, where you can begin to integrate those shameful, shameful parts of ourselves that we suppress. I always speak a lot about the amount of energy that it requires to hide those undesirable aspects of ourselves. So when you start working with integrating all of these aspects of yourself, when you start bringing those shadows into the light, through inner child work, or through shadow work, or through embodiment practices, what’s gonna happen is you freeing up this life force energy, and then you can begin to direct this feminine flow into being more radiant, into being magnetic. And actually I’m saying that wrong. You don’t have to even direct it into being that you’re going to become that, it is going to be a natural result of, of freeing up these inner tensions that we carry inside.

So the bottom line that I want to share with you is that all of us have this ability, we all have this feminine flow, this feminine freedom, this feminine frequency inside of us, we all can be radiant and magnetic and confident and have those situations and peoples and feelings in our lives that we really want. And we can begin to do that by creating the deep, intimate connection with ourselves, by being able to uphold our boundaries by working with our triggers and allowing that to, to kind of guide us into what needs to be seen, what part of me needs to be heard and how can I honor myself in that. We have an incredibly powerful built-in tool that we can use to shape our lives in any way, that we want this tool is the subconscious mind and in this video, I am going to show you how to use its full power to your advantage. By the end of this video, you’ll have a clear understanding of how the subconscious mind determines your experiences and I’m also going to share with you my three-step process that I use myself to shape my life in the way that I want. My name is Tertia and I show you how to use your inner power and the laws of the universe to transform your life. In the first part of this video, I want to define the subconscious mind so that we’re on the same page. I’ve divided the video into three parts. So, in part one, we’ll define the subconscious mind. In part two, I’m going to take you through the process of how our subconscious mind determines our experiences and then in part three is where I will share my three-step process to use the power of the subconscious mind to your advantage.  So, let’s look at defining the subconscious mind. There is an iceberg analogy that has been around forever and I really like to use that analogy because to me, it really explains the relationship between the conscious and the subconscious mind. So, it goes like this. Imagine that your mind is an iceberg. Now, we all know what an iceberg looks like? You have a small piece out top and then you have a very big piece hidden underneath the water and the mind looks like that. So our conscious mind makes up the five percent. The tip of the iceberg and underneath the water level we have 95 percent of sub-consciousness. Now, in this part underneath the surface of the water, this part that is underneath our awareness, it’s made up of the subconscious mind, the unconscious and the collective unconscious. Now, exactly what percentage goes where I can’t tell you that we, nobody is sure about exactly how this is divided in and it’s not really important for the purposes of this video. What is important for you to understand is that your conscious awareness only is five percent of your total experience. So, 95 of your experience and your processes happens underneath the surface of the water.  So, it’s below your awareness. Now, obviously the things that are driving this awareness is what determines how you experience your world and if you can find a way to calibrate and condition and change what is underneath the surface, underneath the awareness on your terms. If you can find a way to do it on purpose, you will find that whatever happens in your conscious awareness in this five percent will change as a result and really these deeper layers of the mind is what affects everything in our experience. I’m going to link a video for you down in the description below. This is a video that I made about how we can’t always believe our thoughts and after you’ve watched this video, go and take a look at that video because it’s a nice compliment to what I’ll be talking about in this video. So, my definition that I like to use for the subconscious mind is that it is that part of us that is underneath or below our awareness which influences us and provides suggestions which determines our experiences, right. So, it’s that part that is below our awareness. That provides us with suggestions and that determines our experiences. So, now in part two, I’m going to take you through a diagram that I’ve created. That is really going to show you how this then works in reality? How it works practically? Everything that we experience in our life, gets filtered through a story that we tell ourselves. So, we tell ourselves stories about everything and those stories can also be called perception. We have a perception about certain cultural things. We have a perception about money. We have a perception about other people. We have a perception about how we are being treated. We have a perception about how other people treat other people. So, really this story that we tell ourselves about things and experiences is going to determine how we experience that experience or event, all right. Now, where do these stories come from and this is the interesting thing. These stories come from our thoughts. So, they come from what we think when we have a dominant thought that turns into a story and it comes from our feelings. Now, your feelings is often as a result of your thoughts. If you think something enough, you can start feeling whatever emotion that thought is driving but the feeling also has a feedback loop. So, when you feel something enough, then you start thinking that this is the true feeling. So, these two are always in relation to each other. Your thoughts and your feelings and these thoughts and feelings are what feeds the stories, they start building neural pathways in your brain, the filter through which you observe the world. Now, what happens with these stories is we believe them to be true. So, we engage with them. Engage! We, engage with them. And we never ever or rather we hardly ever question them. So, we believe them to be true and it’s going to be very difficult for anybody to change your story, right. It has to be an internal thing. We can only change our stories ourselves. It doesn’t matter how much somebody tells you something, if you at your core believe that it’s true through these neural pathways that you have created, then no one is going to change that for you but these stories that we tell ourselves that we engage with and that become our belief systems. They always have a consequence, all right.  So, it leads into a consequence and the consequence is always going to lead to action or inaction, all right. You are always making choices either consciously or unconsciously and taking action or not taking action based on the level of engagement and the level of belief. So, the consequence can show up where you are. For example, someone who sees a lot of injustice, you are someone who blames others for your condition or situation. It can be the consequence, can be you or someone who sees opportunity and everything and no matter what happens, you always land on your feet and you always find a way out and you always find a way to get up top. So, the consequence typically is that we have these patterns that continue to show up in our life. We have these patterns that we always fall into, all right. And this is specifically if these are patterns that are not supporting you in your growth and patterns that aren’t, um, helping you transform or up leveling your life, right. Those are the patterns that I’m talking about, that we want to change, okay! Part of why this works is because we have something called the reticular activating system which I’ve spoken about in the video, which I’ll link below and your reticular activating system is always going to show you the data that supports what you are thinking because it’s programmed to do that and this reinforces your thoughts and feelings and what it also does is it reinforces the stories that you tell yourself. So, if we want to reprogram the subconscious mind, if we want to hack our brain, it’s something that we can do because of this functionality, because we have a reticular activating system, because the stories that we tell ourselves through our thoughts and our feelings can become stories that we want to create consciously. We can change the things that we believe, we can change our belief systems by changing the thoughts and changing the feelings and that’s a conscious act this we do that with a five percent that is above our awareness, we do this intentionally and then it becomes subconscious. We become competent in this new habit of thinking or feeling a certain way and I want to share with you now, my three-step process that I use myself to change and shift anything in my life. When I notice that there’s something that I want to change and I want to transform it. Now, it’s important that you follow these three steps in order, all right. You have to do one after the other because that is how it works and they build on each other. You can’t do the second one without having the first one in place.  So, let me take you through the steps. Step number one is awareness. You have to have awareness and it sounds quite obvious when I say it like that but we need to have the awareness to notice what it is that we want to change? This is what it means to wake up, this is what it means to start living with intention and living on purpose is you have the awareness of any patterns that you want to change, any behaviors that you want to change or any perceptions that you know are limiting you. So, when you have this awareness, you can now begin to change it but there’s a second step before the change happens. Step number two and that is to commit commitment is step number two. Commitment means that you are committing to taking responsibility for your thoughts and your feelings from now on and now step number three is where you take action, all right. You cannot change anything in your life. You cannot change anything in your experience simply by being wistfully thinking about it or for wanting it to happen, all right. Wanting something and desiring something is not enough to actually change it. You need to take action, all right. That’s key. So, step number three is we take action and you take action in the following way. The first thing that you take action on is you take action on your thoughts and basically how it works is you start to think as the person who you want to be.  So, if you’ve identified in step one and this is why it’s so important to put these in order or do these in order. When you’ve identified in step one, you’ve created the awareness about what story it is that you want to change and you are ready to commit to becoming a different story. Now, in step three you taking action by thinking the same thoughts that someone who is already, who you want to be would think like. So, for example, if there is something at work that you want to do and you want to maybe speak up more instead of having the argument with yourself or procrastinating or holding back when you’re sitting in a meeting and worrying about what other people will think and what other people will say and how and that they maybe won’t listen to you now. When you are in that meeting as soon as you realize that you are having this inner conflict again, you create a new thought saying I am someone who speaks up.  I speak up with confidence and then you behave like that person who you want to be and you can literally do this with every thought in your life. So, anything that you want to change, you monitor your thoughts, you monitor your thinking. The moment that you realize that you are thinking a thought which is reinforcing the old story that you have, you start thinking a new thought in its place. The second part to taking action is by changing the movies that you play in your mind. Now, we are constantly thinking about different scenarios and we are constantly projecting or fantasizing how things might turn out that leads us to being worried, that can also lead us to being confident depending on what the image is, that you are feeding yourself think about it where in your life do. You have some patterns that you are stuck in or some situations that don’t work for you and you are making these movies in your mind where you playing out the scenario and you imagining what will happen then and what this one will say and when that, with that one will say and what you’re going to do and you imagine how you’re going to feel and you’re building this soap opera in your mind which is only serving to keeping you stuck in the situation that you’re in. So, part of how we reprogram our subconscious minds is by recognizing as soon as you see that movie is playing, you stop it and you rewrite the script. You literally change the way that it plays out or you decide to just switch it off. You replace it with something else but you take conscious control of your brain. That’s busy running away with you of your mind. That’s busy running away with some scenario and then the third thing that you can do, that’s going to help you reprogram your subconscious mind is eft tapping. Now, I’ve made many videos about eft tapping you know. If you follow me that I’m a big believer in the power of eft to help you shift your experiences and shift your vibration, shift everything about your life that no longer serves you. I’m also going to put some videos for you down in the description so you can take a look at those and that will also support you to really complete what I’m teaching in this video, alright. So, just to recap our conscious awareness is only about five percent. So, only five percent of what we experience is in our conscious awareness. So, many other things, our perception, the suggestions that we get the way, that we relate to the world is an unconscious act. It falls below our awareness and our thoughts and our feelings create the stories that we tell to ourselves and the level at which we engage and believe in these determines how we show up in the world that determines the things that happen to us. It determines the opportunities that show up in our lives and if opportunities are there, it determines whether we take these opportunities or not and when we then decide to take conscious control of this, this is how we begin to hack our subconscious mind, this is how we take ownership of our lives and we really determine how we want to live and who we want to be in that life. WHY IT IS HARD TO LET GO (LETTING GO IS EASY WHEN YOU KNOW THIS)

Struggling to let go is something that we all know about. Letting go is hard, but when you understand the reasons why we hold on, letting go becomes easier.

In this video you will learn about why letting go is hard, and I share with you what I believe is the secret to how to really let go and move on, and how to release resistance and let go of attachment. Letting go is easy when you know this!

Why is it so hard for us to let things go? Why do we insist on holding onto our past or holding onto the things that happened to us? Why do we keep on hurting ourselves? Because the thing is, if you insist on holding on, if you insist on being attached, the person that is hurting the most is you. So in this video, I want to share with you four of the reasons, I think it’s so hard for us to let go. If you’re new to my channel, my name is Tertia. And on this channel, I show you how to use your inner power and the universal laws to transform your life. Letting go is probably one of the more challenging things that we ever experience as humans. For some reason, we always hold onto the things that have caused us pain and the things that hurt us in the past. We find it very difficult to surrender. We resist surrendering and allowing things to be the way that they are. If you’re playing with manifesting things, we are really attached to the outcomes it’s very difficult for us to detach and to let go. And I think that there are four reasons, there’s probably more, but I want to share with you four reasons why I think it’s so difficult for us to let go. The first reason why I think it’s really hard for us to let go is because we don’t change our paradigms. We don’t change our thinking. And I made a video about this last week, which I’ll link for you in the description below, you can also find it in the link up here, where I talk about our brain and about the paradigms that we have. So we keep on thinking the same thoughts and so we keep on having the same actions. We keep on having the same results and very rarely do we challenge or question our own thoughts. So in effect, you keep on reliving your past because you are living as your past self. Okay? That’s what happens when we don’t question our own thoughts, when we don’t examine our own framework or our paradigms. The second reason why it’s so difficult for us to let go is because we have these unwritten rules about the world and about people. We have these expectations about how things should be. And when people fail us, when they don’t behave in accordance to what we think their behavior should be, if they don’t conform to our expectations, we feel violated and we take it personally. And the problem is it puts you in a bad state, right? So now you’re going into a state of lower vibration. You’re going into a state of anger or judgment or resentment. And what are you creating from the state? If this is the energy that you’re operating from you can think for yourself, what is it that you’re going to attract into your life? How are the conversations going to be? What is going to be your general attitude? Your mental filter with which you engage with the world? So by beginning to examine our expectations, we allow ourselves to release some of these pressures that we put ourselves under, because you’re putting yourself under pressure to try and change people, to be what you expect of them to be. If you want people to behave in a certain way, to talk in a certain way, to live in a certain way, if they don’t conform to your rules, you’re putting pressure on yourself to get them to conform. It’s a lot less hard work to just let it go. The third reason why we struggle to let go is because we form an attachment. We are afraid. So it’s being driven by fear, we are afraid that things aren’t going to be how we want them to be. We not going to get the outcome that we want and so we try and control this. And we think that through controlling this, we are going to influence the outcome and the result. And I can just think of myself in a story that I can share with you. When I first started taking my YouTube channel seriously, I was so attached to how many subscribers I got and how many views I got and how many comments I got that I became obsessed with this. And I felt like every single comment and every single view was a reflection of my self-worth. I was afraid that if people weren’t watching my videos and if people weren’t subscribing, then it would mean that I was a failure. And then one day I just realized, you know what? I don’t like how I’m spending my energy on this obsession about the YouTube channel. My YouTube channel will grow. People are watching it, and I know that I’m changing lives. So just let it go. Stop obsessing and stressing about it and that’s what I did. So we hold on to things we don’t want to let go, because we are afraid that if we don’t control it, it’s going to reflect badly on us. And then the fourth reason why it’s so difficult for us to let go is because the brain tends to remember only the good things. So often our brain has these rose colored memories, we only remember things in a certain way. And the more we think about this thing that we are missing, this thing that we are longing for, this thing that we are unable to let go of, the prettier the picture is that our brain begins to paint of this memory. This explains why it’s  difficult for us to let go of a relationship. When your relationship didn’t work out, your brain only remembers the good times and you might not realize it, but think about it. How often do you talk back about the good old days? The days when things were done like this, but what we don’t think about is even in those days, you weren’t 100% happy with what was happening right then. You remembered the days before that. So if you realize that your brain makes up these pictures, then it also becomes easier for you to engage in the idea of letting go. So now I want to share with you, the secret that I believe is the only way to let go and that is letting go is a decision. It is a decision that you take, letting go is an action. If you take the conscious decision to let go of those things that are only causing hurt in your life, if you take conscious decision to detach yourself from the goals and taking action and working towards the goals, without obsessing about whether the results are what you want them to be, then you’ll find that things begin to play out in your life, in the way that supports you most for your highest good. So if you’ve  made the decision to let go, if you’ve taken this action, there’s a little bit more work, it’s required of you to go within. It’s required of you to fill those voids that are created by our experiences and by our losses not by looking for something on the outside to fill us, but you have to fill it from within. You have to do the inner work. We have to heal the wounds that caused us to want to control things to be in a certain way. We have to accept that people won’t always behave in the way that we expect them to. And if you can let go of the expectation, it’s also going to affect the way in which you experience your interactions with the things that happen to you. When you learn to let go, like this, the fear begins to release you. Okay, and it’s not a single event, it’s not something that you do and then it’s over and done with. It’s an action that you are always going to have to apply. We have to be open to letting go. Sure, if you have created the habit of letting go, it becomes easier. You don’t have to expend much energy or effort in letting go. When you’re still at the beginning stages and you’ve got a lot of stuff that you’re holding onto that you’re ready to release, it does take a little bit more effort. But know that it’s something that you carry with you, it’s like going to the gym. You can’t go to the gym once, do a workout and then you’re set for life. You’re always working out. The same thing with inner work and transformation. You’re always doing some inner work because there’s always a new layer to uncover. There’s always a newer aspect of yourself to discover and to explore. So hope that you found this video helpful on learning to let go and the reasons why it’s so hard for us to let go. Your brain lies to you, and it lies to you a lot. Now, if you’ve ever had the experience of thoughts running through your mind, that makes you feel bad, you want to watch this video. I’m going to tell you to stop believing your thoughts. You can’t believe everything you think. Now, by the end of this video, you’ll have a clear understanding of how the brain lies to you. And I’m also going to be sharing with you, three hacks that you can use to deal with these thoughts, so that you can start choosing different thoughts instead. If you’re new to my channel, my name is Tertia. And on this channel, I show you how to use your inner power and the universal laws to transform your life. Now, I don’t know if you know this, but we only think about 5% of original thoughts every day, right? It’s said that at least 95% of our thoughts are automatic. So this means that we keep on thinking the same things without thinking about what we are thinking, right? Our thinking happens without us being active participants in this for 95% of the time during our day. So these things that we do every day, like walking, or talking, or eating, or climbing stairs, or sitting down, or standing up, your brain takes over the thinking function of that. But it also takes over the thinking function of many other things that we do habitually, many other things that we do over and over and over. So some of these automatic thoughts that we have is the belief systems that we build up through our own experiences, about your “failures”. These belief systems that we have that say, I’m not good enough, I’m not lovable. All of these thoughts come up, and you feel powerless. It makes you feel powerless. So the first hack is to understand that your brain does these things automatically. When you start hearing the thoughts of, “You’re not good enough. You screwed up. You’re being disrespected. Your partner doesn’t love you. Nobody can love you, because you’re not really lovable. You really are just such a loser.” When you start hearing these thoughts, understand that it’s a lie. It’s part of that 95% of automatic thoughts that the brain is thinking. And when you realize that it’s not a true thought, but a thought that comes from some pattern in your past, now it empowers you, because you can begin to change it. Now you might be familiar with this Harvard experiment, where they studied subjects to see their level of attention and how selective their attention really was. How it worked was you had two groups of people, white t-shirts, black t-shirts, and the subjects had to count how many times the white t-shirt group pass the ball amongst themselves. So, while this was happening, during this experiment, the people were throwing the balls, and then a gorilla came into the group of people, pounded its chest, and then walked off again. The question then that they asked the study group was, how many times did the people with the white shirts pass the ball? And the second question they asked was, did you see the gorilla? And more than half the time, the subjects didn’t see the gorilla. So, I knew about this experiment, and in preparing for this video I went to look at the video again, you can find the video on YouTube if you want to take a look at it. I went to look at the video again. And even though I knew that there was going to be a gorilla that comes up, my focus was still on counting how many times this ball was passed. So if you have to ask me, was the gorilla there? Yes, the gorilla was there, because I kind of noticed him in my peripheral vision, but I never looked at the gorilla. So if you asked me, what did the gorilla do? I still wouldn’t have been able to tell you. And I knew what this experiment was all about. So, our brains really are selective. Our brain focuses on only the things that it deems important. In my case, still counting the balls and noticing whether there was a gorilla or not. So this is the second hack. In your brain you’ve got this control center, let’s call it a control center, called your reticular activating system, or RAS for short. And we take in so much information through our subconscious mind. We’re aware of everything that happens to us, but we only register those things which are deemed important. And our subconscious mind sends us this information, this data that it thinks is important, based on what we tell it. Now, when we use our reticular activating system in a way to support us, it means we can begin to reprogram some of these automatic thoughts that we have. When you keep on thinking the same thing over and over, when you keep on reinforcing your belief of I’m not good enough, or I’m unlovable, these core beliefs, you are always going to find proof of this. It’s always going to be brought to your attention. And by starting to think different thoughts, by starting to input different ideas and different beliefs into the subconscious mind, through the conscious mind, you’re starting to reprogram some of these automatic thoughts that run. So that the automatic thoughts that run in the future are going to be more supportive to you, rather than breaking you down and making you feel bad about yourself. The third hack that I want to tell you about is, where you become the observer of your thoughts, so you don’t buy into the story. Now, this is a little bit more of a trickier one where you become the observer. I’ve been able to maybe two or three times in my life do this spontaneously, where I was caught in a downward cycle, in a negative cycle, and I was able to remove myself and observe my thoughts and my feelings. And just by that act of observing, you’re putting distance between whatever is going on in your brain and in your emotions. And from a higher perspective, a higher vision, you’re observing this. And there are two kinds of questions that you can ask yourself, that’s going to support you to become the observer and to remove yourself from whatever it is that your brain is automatically thinking. So the first question is, is this helpful? And by asking yourself is it helpful, it’s forcing you to begin to analyze and study and critically explore these thoughts that you are having. So you no longer just stuck in the feeling of it, but you are really considering whether this is helping you, and often that’s enough to kind of get you out of it. The second question that you can ask yourself is, is this true? And here, I just want to say don’t go on your feeling. Don’t go on your gut feeling that says, “Yes it true.” Look for hard evidence, okay? Often we might be getting crossed signals from our intuition when you’re caught in feeling bad thoughts, okay? And it might not be the truth that you’re finding from your intuition, because it’s not really your intuition talking. So, look for facts, where before has this happened for real? And also this fact finding is going to allow you to kind of take a step back. What you just need to know, it doesn’t help if you only do it once, okay? It’s a process, you are then training your brain. You’re also reprogramming your mind. You’re giving yourself new automatic thought patterns. So, the reason why your brain lies to you, it’s because it is just how the brain works. It fills in the blanks. It’s very selective in its attention, because it’s trying to be efficient, and it is efficient. I mean our brains work, but it can work against you, if you allow yourself to believe all of these things that your brain tells you, okay? We want to become self-aware. We want to have self-inquiry, want to be able to separate ourselves from our thoughts and our feelings, so that we can see them for what they really are.
