Emotional healing is a deeply personal and transformative journey that each of us embarks upon. 

Whether we are crawling out of numbness, navigating heartache, or revelling in the joy of emotional resilience, the path to healing is unique for everyone.

Imagine your inner world as a garden ravaged by storms and floods, leaving the trees uprooted and the flowers trampled. 

To embark on emotional healing is to tend to this garden, clearing the debris, nurturing the roots, and planting new seeds.

Healing as a Journey, Not a Destination

In our pursuit of healing, we often fall into the trap of believing that it is a final destination—a point where everything will magically be okay. 

We tie our happiness to external factors, anticipating that once we achieve specific goals or overcome particular traumas, we will finally find contentment. 

However, this perspective keeps the goalpost continually out of reach, leaving us perpetually unfulfilled. 

True healing is an ongoing journey of growth and self-discovery, where embracing each step, no matter how small, is what empowers us to blossom fully.

You Are Not Broken

Many of us harbour the belief that there is something inherently wrong with us, and that we need fixing. 

However, healing is not about fixing ourselves; it’s about loving and accepting all aspects of who we are. 

Those parts of us that feel wounded and broken don’t need to be discarded; they need our compassion and love. 

When we stop viewing ourselves as broken, we embrace vulnerability and connect with our true emotions, paving the way for healing and growth.

Embracing the Full Spectrum of Feelings

Society often discourages negative emotions, pushing us to focus solely on positivity. 

However, denying our true feelings can lead to disconnection from ourselves and create a pressure cooker effect. 

Embracing all emotions, both positive and negative, is essential for our well-being. 

By acknowledging our anger, sadness, or frustration, we can make empowering choices and experience life fully.

 It’s okay not to be high vibe all the time; embracing our cyclical nature allows us to be authentic and opens the doors to emotional healing.

Ever wondered how to feel truly safe within yourself and embrace your authentic self? 

Well, you’re not alone! In our quest for self-actualization and deep connections, we often overlook the crucial aspect of finding safety within ourselves. 

Feeling safe within isn’t just about external circumstances; it’s about finding peace and comfort in your own internal world, no matter what’s happening around you. 

We’ve all made the mistake of thinking that feeling secure means everything around us has to be perfect. But that’s not the secret to true confidence!

It’s all about getting really intimate and vulnerable with what is going on in our internal world. 

The Paradox of Creating Safety Within

And so, here’s the twist – a primary condition for feeling safe within is a bit paradoxical.

Instead of trying to “feel safe,” we need to learn how to be comfortable with those not-so-cozy feelings, emotions and sensations within. 

It’s like hitting play on an action movie. Remember those moments when the action freezes? Well, that’s what happens when we suppress our feelings. 

When we abandon ourselves in the quest for external safety, our self-trust takes a nosedive, leaving us feeling disconnected and powerless.

By diving into those internal sensations and emotions, and staying with them, we allow ourselves to complete the action, freeing up our life force energy.

This newfound connection with ourselves allows us to hold space for our emotions and embrace our true, authentic selves.

Embracing inner safety is a transformative journey towards authenticity and fulfilment.

As we embark on this path, we unlock the door to a fulfilling life, rooted in our truth, pleasure, joy, and satisfaction.

Embodiment and Tapping Into The Wisdom Of Your Body ( what you need to know)

By connecting with our body wisdom, we can break free from self-sabotaging patterns, align ourselves with our authentic truth, and cultivate a sense of empowerment that flows into every aspect of our lives.

The way to do that is through embodiment.  

At least, embodiment is the best way that I know of to embrace your authentic self and come back to wholeness for a more vibrant and fulfilling life.

Embodiment is not just about practising yoga, dancing, doing tai chi, or meditation; although all of these have elements of embodiment to them.

My definition is embodiment is being in contact with the full experience of yourself. It is to inhabit your being, and embrace the truth of who you are. It’s a daily practice, a skill that we learn to align ourselves with a more fulfilling and richer way of living.

Cultivating Sensitivity: The First Principle

Tapping into body wisdom begins with cultivating sensitivity, allowing yourself to feel deeply and connect with your sensations and emotions. By paying attention to the currents of aliveness within you, you can start to liberate frozen tension and tap into your own nervous system. This helps you understand yourself better and allows you to experience more pleasure and fulfilment in life.

Learning the Language of Your Body: The Second Principle

For many of us, it can be very painful to be in our bodies. And then, our world encourages us to “get on with it” and learn to live with the discomfort. And so, we often talk about our feelings, but there’s a difference between talking about them and being in the feeling of them. Learning the language of your body means delving into your unique constellation of feelings and sensations. By staying present with these emotions and sensations, you gain valuable insights and to tapping into body wisdom can guide your decisions and actions.

Embrace All Aspects of Yourself: The Third Principle

In the practice of embodying yourself, you begin to embrace all aspects of who you are. This includes the shadows, chaos, and unknown parts. Rejecting certain aspects of ourselves can lead to self-judgment, self-sabotage, and a feeling of being incomplete. Embrace the wholeness of who you are, and you’ll experience a deeper connection and self-love that can positively impact all areas of your life.

Deepen the Trust in Yourself: The Fourth Principle

Developing trust in yourself is essential for embodying your authentic self. Learn to listen to your inner guidance, trust your intuition, and make decisions aligned with your true desires and values. By doing so, you can move through life with confidence and authenticity. This will ask of you to be with the discomfort of moving away from always looking to external sources for guidance. 

Living as Your Authentic Self: The Fifth Principle

Living as the truest version of yourself means embracing your authentic essence in this moment, not striving for a future version of yourself. We often hold the disembodiment fallacy of only accepting ourselves once we have attained certain conditions (ideal weight, controlled emotions, loving relationship, fulfilling job). I believe that when we are able to be with ourselves where we are right now, it leads to acceptance and fulfilment.

How To Live As A Sovereign And Fully Embodied Woman (Signs & Tips)

An embodied woman has access to a richer life experience.

She is not only connected to the workings of her mind, but she is in touch with her inner world.

She feels more alive as she accesses her mental, physical, emotional and energetic bodies and dances with the nuances that these offer to her.

Embodiment is a never-ending journey. There is no end point of finally being embodied. Instead, it is a daily practice.

It is a devotion of choosing time and time again to meet the sometimes uncomfortable feelings that arise in the body.

And this is what opens you to also feeling more joy, pleasure and aliveness thrumming through you.

It may be a familiar distraction for you to escape into your mind. I know it was for me, and it is still something that is present in my life. Getting busy, overthinking and pushing myself.

How To Live As A Sovereign And Fully Embodied Woman

Being embodied to me means recognizing when these deeply ingrained patterns show up again, and meeting myself where I am even in those moments.

It also means slowing down.

Our lives are busy. Our attention is constantly drawn by all the things on our to-do list, by marketers who shout the loudest, and by social media designed to suck us into the rabbit whole.

This is a sure recipe to become disconnected from your body, and what you need or feel in this moment.

So, becoming embodied means slowing down to meet the speed and the needs of your body. So that you can begin to hear yourself.

Discovering Embodiment Changed My Life

I really mean it when I say that embodiment changed my life.

When I look back at the insecure woman I used to be, she feels like a different person.  

Today, I have deep compassion for that version of me who was so filled with self-doubt and constantly looking for external validation.

I imagine that part of my sensitive nature is what caused me to take everything personally. That certainly didn’t help with creating a healthy and confident sense of self.

This is actually what drew me to personal development work in the first place because I wanted to fix what was wrong with me!

However, the art of embodied living has changed that perspective. There is nothing about me that needs fixing, just as there is nothing about you that needs fixing.

In this video, I talk about my journey and how embodiment helped me change from that insecure woman to believing in myself and having the confidence to be myself.

I want you to know that there is another way to live instead of feeling constantly overwhelmed, second-guessing yourself and having a low thrum of anxiety beating in your belly.

How To Make Better Decisions In Life (4 Essential Practices)

Here is the secret: to make better decisions, you need to be connected into your body. 

I have made some pretty poor decisions in my past, and I really needed to find a way to make better choices and to stick to them. 

What I discovered, as I became more embodied, is that I began to trust myself more.  As I connected more deeply into my feminine wisdom and truth,  I began following my inner guidance and listening to my intuition. 

Developing the skill of making the best decisions for you, and tapping into your own body’s wisdom, is a skill that anyone can learn.

It is not a once-off deal though.  It requires your devotion, and a willingness to meet yourself where you are, to cultivate your feminine fuel of depth and sovereignty. And also it requires courage to live it out into the world. 

We need to make decisions all the time.  From the really small and fairly insignificant decisions like, what am I gonna wear today, or what am I going to have for breakfast? To really big existential kinds of decisions like what am I going to do with my life? And then obviously everything in between. 

When we don’t know what to choose, it can create a lot of internal turmoil and stress.

Especially if we don’t know what is the “right” thing for us or if we have a history of making bad decisions.  These tend to haunt us until we are able to resolve them or forgive ourselves.

 And it can be really challenging and difficult to make some of these bigger life decisions often because we don’t know that we are going to make the right choice.

The skill of making good decisions is a necessary ingredient to be able to live a fulfilling life.
