I knew exactly what it is that I had to do, but still I kept procrastinating. In this video I talk about what causes us to procrastinate and the first steps in overcoming procrastination.
The first steps in stopping procrastination is to start.
There comes a point where you need to literally tell yourself to stop thinking about doing and take action. Close your eyes and jump, so to speak. When we think too much and look at all the options we either become overwhelmed by the enormity of the task. Or we scare ourselves and become paralysed with fear.
There are many different techniques and approaches available to dealing with stopping procrastination but the first steps are to get your mind right. You need to be in control of your brain, not the other way around!
