One of the first things I do when I feel stuck, is to clear my mental and physical space. When there is too much clutter around me – both mentally and physically, my mind frizzles! In this video I talk about how we only have 100% attention available to us, and how clutter robs us of that attention.
CLEAR YOUR CLUTTER
1. Start from where you are
It’s challenging to deal with a lifetime’s habits overnight. Instead, start where you are and commit to the simple action of finishing things. Put things away, clear the table after dinner. Make your bed as soon as you get up. Don’t leave things for later.
2. Declutter one room at a time
Pick a room, and start there. Give yourself a reasonable deadline, and remember baby-steps gets it done.
3. Get rid of duplicates
You might find that you have loads of duplicates. Keep the items that are still in good condition and sell or donate the rest. And the things that are stained, full of holes and unusable…toss it in the bin!
You typically attract more of what you already have, so it makes sense to surround yourself with peace, beauty, ease and success.
